I am well aware that when most people say that they’re “living the dream,” they’re saying it sarcastically. They say it when someone asks how they’re doing and they’re working a job they hate or when their life is not at all what they want it to be.
But when I say I’m living the dream (which I do, whenever anyone asks how I am) I mean it 100%. My life is nowhere near perfect, and yet, I still believe that I am living the dream—and I’ll tell you why on episode #24 of my podcast. And actually, I believe that no matter what your life looks like right now, you’re living the dream too.
Why?
If you’re reading this, I can make a pretty certain guess that your life is a dream for billions of people around the globe who are making less than $2 per day.
In the same vein, your job is the dream for people who are unemployed and looking for work.
Your family is the dream for people who are lonely.
Your health (even if you want to lose weight) is the dream for people battling chronic illness.
I’m not saying that your life isn’t hard. We all have problems and we all have challenges to overcome.
I’m saying that no matter what you’re dealing with right now, you always have something to be grateful for.
And in order to live the life of your dreams, you have to believe that you’re living the dream first. Gratitude is the beginning, not the end of the journey to success.
To help you get to that place of gratitude, in episode #24 (the first episode in my Life at Performance Level series in The Next 24 Hours!) I’m excited to give you…
- The secret sauce for living the dream in your real life
- Practical ways to be grateful every day
- Why I started saying I was “living the dream” in the first place
- How to find the balance between gratitude and ambition
- The story of a friend of mine who is living his dream in an incredible way
