Is Santa Dead?

I believe in SantaHappy to report that Santa is alive and well at the Zimmerman home.

I believe in magic, I believe in miracles, and I believe in Santa Claus. I always have, always will.

My children, who are now 9, 10, and 12, have heard murmers in the hallways at school that there’s no Santa. I’ve made it perfectly clear to them that if they don’t believe in Santa, he doesn’t come. If you don’t believe in miracles, you’ll never see them, though they’re around you everyday.

One of my mentors, Dr. Will Keim, has grown children who have their own children now, and to this day, they look forward Santa’s visit every year.

I believe we have taken away so many things in our society to believe in, such as character, ethics, value-based decision making, honesty, and true friendship. I will never take away Santa. So if you ever visit the Zimmerman home, look for the sign that hangs every Christmas that says: “I believe in Santa.”

Have a magical Christmas.

Love,

The Zimmerman Family
