What is determining your success?
While the script in your head (what you believe about yourself) and acting with passion (what you do about what you believe about yourself) are the two most key factors in your success and growth, there is a little-known and often-neglected part of ramping up your performance in life.
It’s the space you’re in, the clothes you wear and the lighting around you.
In a life lived at performance level, your space isn’t just your space: It’s the set of your show, and it plays a huge role in giving your performance the feel and the experience that you want your life to have. In the same way, your clothes aren’t just your clothes: They’re your costume.
Every space that you live your life in—whether that’s your home, your car, or your office at work—will either give you energy or suck your energy. The same goes for your clothes. And I’m not saying it’s time to become a minimalist or get rid of everything you own, because everyone has a different vision for the visuals of their life.
The key is to live in line with YOUR vision for your life.
If you’re a neat freak and you’re living in a house that’s a disaster, I’m going to guess that being at home makes you feel drained. If you’re like me and you love being surrounded by pictures, trinkets and memories in your workspace, you’ll feel uninspired in a sterile office cubicle. If fashion is your passion and you love making your own clothes, you may not like working in a job where you have to wear a monogrammed polo every day.
So on episode #27, as part of my Life at Performance Level series, I’m giving you tangible and immediately-applicable tips to get the junk out of your life (metaphorically and literally) and replace it with material things that make you feel more alive and in control.
I’ll walk you step-by-step through the process of simplifying your life and making your physical space, your wardrobe, and even your lighting one that sets you up for success.
Listen in to hear:
- How to create a home that energizes you
- What your wardrobe says about the role you’ve decided to play in your life
- How to use the material, tangible things around you to become the star of your show
